Grapes: 100% Argaman – an Israeli-bred variety (a Carignan and Souzao crossing) grown almost nowhere else.

Origin: Jezreel Valley Winery in the Lower Galilee, which champions this rare local grape.

Vintage: 2019 was a balanced Galilee vintage with warm days and cool nights, giving the naturally dark Argaman grape both colour and lift.

Why it’s good: inky colour, blackberry and violet notes and a plush, spicy palate. A genuinely unique Israeli wine you won’t find from anywhere else.
