Origin: Cignozza, from hillside vineyards in the Chianti zone of Tuscany.

Vintage: 2021 was an excellent Tuscan vintage – warm days and cool nights gave ripe yet vibrant Sangiovese; critics rated it among the region’s best recent years.

Why it’s good: sour cherry, violet and a savoury, earthy edge with lively acidity – the perfect match for tomato dishes and roast meats.
