A Merlot-led blend with Cabernet Franc, made by Chateau Valandraud in Saint-Emilion, on Bordeaux’s Right Bank – the estate of Jean-Luc Thunevin, the pioneer of the ‘garage wine’ movement, named after his daughter Virginie.

The 2018 Bordeaux vintage was outstanding: a hot, dry summer gave rich, concentrated wines with ripe fruit and real ageing potential, and it is considered one of the great vintages of the decade.

Ripe dark berries, plum and a touch of spice, with silky tannins and classic Right Bank elegance. Kosher for Passover and mevushal.
